I am not sure if I understand this correctly. If my turbos are k16/k24, it means I am running hot k16 and cold k24 sides. If my cool side is K24 housing with k24 wheel, would I be able to swap the k24 wheel to a 18G wheel (i think shaft are the same size). This said, would that make it a K16/18g turbos ?

You most likely could do it, but why? The 18G compressor wheel is a mod that shines in the higher rpms ,but the K16 turbine wheel will choke at the higher rpms. You would definately have a quick spooling 18G but it most likely would not go the distance in the higher rpms....

 

This whole subject is too confusing. Too many numbers and variations. Is there a chart that shows the performance advantages to each different number combination? Where could I find it?
