Noise from Rear of my Turbo going over bumps...

I know it's not possible to know what to hear the voice via the forum but I was hoping that there might be some common issues generating the noise from the rear of my 01 turbo.

When I go over certain bumps any speed it can hear this low soft thump or da da - da da like noise from the rear.

From my car experience it almost sounds like the strut missing the little plastic ring, or a mis-installed spring, or some plastic part hitting the body panel

Any ideas or solutions?

Thanks

I should add that everything this happened when everything was stock in my car, exhaust & suspension. Now w/ the aftermarket exhaust still makes the same noise.

check how secure your sway bar link is. If its loose you may hear a rattling type noice over bumps.

I think I heard something like that (thumping noise when going over bumps) when my stock suspensions were about to go - changed to JIC and it went away. The rubbing on hard accel went away too ..

Yes. My fan housing used to make a terrible thumping when driving over freeway expansion slots.
