996 turbo servicing

Hey everyone. I was wondering if you could tell me how often to change the oil on my 996 turbo because I am going on a 1k road trip this weekend with my father. I currently have exactly 10,000 miles on the car and the last oil change was at about 5,000. Thanks!

Also, how many quarts of oil should suffice? About 9? The oil is Mobil 1 synthetic 0W40 right?

I'd change up to the newer Mobil1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W40, as the 0W40 formula has changed and isn't as durable as before.

I'd get 9 quarts and a filter and two crush washers (One for the tank and one for the block) and swap it before the trip.

If it's not modified use the factory change intervals. If it's modded beyond EVOMS 2 the 3-4K number is appropriate. Always keep a quart in the car for those long trips. Being in BF Egypt without oil, trying to find Mobil One can be a pain.

Do you happen to know the factory oil change intervals by any chance?
