NY,PA,NJ,CT area dyno and 1/4 mile day?
Sorry for the cross post, but I don't know how well traveled the local forum is:

There's been a lot of talk about shootouts, comparing mods, falibility of dyno numbers, etc. so let's do something about it.
Let's get together and run our cars back to back in the same conditions and on the same fuel and see where everyone stacks up. We'll pick an independent dyno (someone with no skin in this game) and then drive down to Englishtown and run the track. I'd also love to add a 60-130 element to this, but I think we might need to rent out an airstrip to get that done. Anyone have any contacts on that?
So who's in? Any suggestions to make the day even better? As we get a sense of attendance, we'll pick a day and get the plans in motion. Also, anyone with contacts in these areas want to help me make some arrangements?

I hear you can get your 60-130 times on the drag strip... Just stay in it until you reach 130MPH then get on the brakes. You'd still have plenty of time to haul it down for the return trip...
I "might" be up for this, depending on schedule.

True, many cars can reach 130 before 1/4 ends... but not mine.

Hope you can make it. It'd be great to put a face w/ a name.

Sounds like a great idea Mike! We have KMD Tuning with a Maha Dyno in Northern Jersey and EPL with their Mustang in CT. I have a few friends who would definately be in....

I've made passes at http://www.dragway.com/ with a gtech on my window...FYI.
We can have this whole track for a day for about 100 bucks a car (20 car min). I would love to plan a private rental for the tristate guys in the Fall.
Just a thought.

I'd love to do the dyno at EPL because I wouldn't have to disconnect my driveshaft, but I'm pretty sure some folks on here will cry foul. If everyone on here wants to do EPL, I'd be glad to go, but they're probably out. (Sorry Tony). I was definitely thinking of giving you a call to see if KMD and their MAHA was an option. Also, I think AWE has a mustang in PA that might work.
I'm getting excited for this.

On a side note... How many people here are going to Waterfest?
