want a better controlled feel at high speeds
I have H & R springs only installed on my 2003 tiptronic.. lowered the car to a height I love... but I feel at high speeds the car feels light in the front end.. steering feels light.. not solid feeling.. could that be from the springs? I also have new tires all around.. alignment was done with tires... would different shocks help me ride? do I need to remove the H & R springs and start over? car is only driven on the street.. no track use..
thanks

I felt things got better with the AERO fron air dam (OEM, I got mine on ebay, and AWE have them, MA shaw too). I have a techart 1 rear wing in CF too....the downforce at ~158-162 (my peak on track) was fine, even in some cross wind. That is my max speed...others here have gone much faster....
But, I have also heard that from a LOT of people...these cars are a bit light up front per some gurus at VIR in gt3's...there were all sorts of front spoilers used. Look at the picture on rennlist right now on the home page when you go there....manthey gt3rsr...look at what they added to the front (winglets).....that is from a pure racing shop that knows what it is doing...so downforce up front is at a premium in all likelyhood.
GMG may be of help here ....and they are a sponsor. Fabryce is very nice.
(note: saw the threads later on springs....I missed that and thought you did coilovers...my error, you need downforce AND better suspension...stock would likely be better than just springs...)

I know and heard people with the same setup as yours, and have handling problems.

Stock aerodynamics on this car produce close to 15lbs of lift at 125mph, which is very little (996GT3RS close to 40lbs) and they were designed to reach 190mph in stock form daily on the autobahn in all safety if there is such thing. Weight bias is not the issue.
Check your tire pressures, your ride height front and rear as they might have screwed it up during installation (rake angle), and your toe front and rear.

Yikes, really? The RS in stock form is rated to a top speed around 180mph no? Is 40lb of lift ok? Is it even worse for the standard GT3? Kind of surprising that the RS would produce more lift being so much lower... Possibly due to the Turbo's bigger front air dams?

errr..........
WTF ~ springs?
there's nothing you can do cheap here when you're going 160mph.
PSS9'S WILL PROBABLY SAVE YOU THE ENTIRE CAR FOR THE WRECK YOU MAY BE HEADED FOR OTHERWISE.

Unfortunately I bought my car with H&R springs and I also have a light darty feeling up front at hight speeds. My M3 handles better than my 996tt right now. Can't wait to get some coilovers.

Every P car i have owned had this problem - from a C2 to an TTX50 to a TTcab - just never felt right... the e46 M3 i owned prior to my p-cars felt SOLID as a rock even at 160'ish mark - my current 360, the faster i go the more stable it feels
