I'm not interested in doing engine internals. I have a UMW 1 bar flash, and DV's. I'm looking for an exhaust and have heard so many blown MAF stories that I'm confused about air filters and intakes. I bought a BMC washable air filter and never installed it.

you have k-16's get them converted to hybrids, get the proper tuning and exhaust and call it a day and dont drive yourself crazy. PERIOD. (of course my 2 cents)

above is best bang for buck and car will be unbelievable. I have driven cars with that set up compared to stock and X-50's, and really it is all you need.

You should buy my UMW Stage 2 hybrids w/wastegates, more power than this for the track is a waste IMO

No internals means no huge injectors, you are limited to around 600hp max. if no internals then you have to say "I AM ON A BUDGET" because when you go much north of 500whp/wtq you tend to blow lots of money on parts you WILL BREAK and a budget means just what TK said above. do some 16G's + exhaust, you did the DV's, stronger clutch, re-tune (again), PSS9's and fuggetaboutit. that's $11K down the tubes before you get into what it's going to cost you when you regularly begin breaking parts (and you join the "forbidden" 600-700WHP club) Don't worry about the intake at this point. Not really critical at this level of output. You will blow MAF's, though, with lots of different free-flowing intake systems and again, this screams "I don't want to get buried in repairs of $250.00 or more" so seriously evaluate what the goal is here. MAF's are cheap.

For the GT700 with internals and related suspension goodies to keep it glued down, that's $50K in mods (vs $10K) and another $15-20K in annual maintenance vs. an almost stocker-factory maintenance schedule.

As previously mentioned, "These cars eat $5K bills like a small, angry (but hungry) child at a Hostess factory."

Enjoy your ride.

Actually, it's a bit less than that (for me at least). I've got less than $6k into my build and that includes K16/16g turbos w/ upgraded wastegate actuators, all new turbo gaskets and hardware, 5 bar fpr, DGI Exhaust, Custom clutchmasters clutch, EPL custom dyno tune, and install for ALL of the foregoing. I don't have a suspension yet though.
