normal to blow blue smoke on cold start?

I talked to a tech last time I stopped at a dealership and he said that a lo of time, oil/sludge puddles in the intake hoses right past the turbos going into the intecoolers. He said it's a good idea to drain that once in a while. Also , when doing an oil change, also empty the reserrvoirs under the turbos as sludge likes to puddle in there. Don't know if it will make a difference but just my 2 cents.

Mine does it also, but seems to be more prevalent when I park on a slanted grade in my driveway-
If I park in my garage and sit for about 60 seconds prior to shutting the engine down, it does not puff the smoke.
Not sure what the correlation there is but it seems to matter-Bottom line that smoke is priceless (I am coming to that realization very fast).
Wouldn't have it any other way-
