halluz is infamous around these parts
How about for moderate street and track use around 550-600HP in an obnoxiously hot and humid place (Texas)? What would make an IC better for warmer climates - the sheer volume or something else?

Can the direct bolt on intercoolers (which I presume work with stock or silicone boost hoses and the stock Y-Pipe?) be used with the SPI Y-Pipe also if one were to upgrade to Garretts later on?

The EVOM units work great and have larger outlets and superior end tanks.

All above will do a MUCH better job than stock.
can this be compared with true experiences? in terms of numbers, degrees etc.?

How does one evaluate specs on an intercooler?

Sure, in simplest terms pick a vendor, buy them, tune to them, and swear by your choice....

But technically speaking what are the discriminating features that define performance?

Pressure drop at some flow rate across the intake path?

Some measure of thermal transfer efficiency....

All else being equal, increasing the size- slowing down the intake air AND exposing more surface area to cooling cross flow- should make a better IC. But if the end tanks are more susceptible to heatsoak, or the end tank design creates a virtual restriction across part of the path, then you may not get what you think you are getting.

So, any way to quantify?

(and anyone have a picture of the OTHER side of the switzer IC?)
