I have RE-050A's on one set of wheels and PS2's on another. I just put the PS2's on over the weekend and the drumming noise over freeway expansion joints is much louder and more bothersome than the Bridgestones. I'm interested in the INVO's or RE-11's as a replacement on my 19" dia. Carrera Sports for the street only, no track.
the 18 inch invo's are much taller than the ps2's so the sidewall has more suspension to it. No biggie, just need to stiffen the suspension up a bit. They grip better than the ps2's. If you are getting 19's then you won't have the tall sidewall.

I thought about trying the Nittos at one point, but as far as I can tell, they don't make tires for the Turbo. That has to say something right there. This thread is a Turbo thread. Do they make tires for the Turbo and I just don't see them on their site?

Uhh, yes it is a turbo thread and it is a 996tt thread. My car is that and I have Nittos. 225 front and 295 rears, std turbo tires. the search function is your friend. you can find out if someone has the type of car before inserting foot in mouth.

Just put another set in the back....forgot how new tires feel.

At the end, they were excellent on track. Now, I think I have about 3mm of rubber too much for good track time....so I'll just drive them a bit. 11.6k total miles and 6 DE days. No issues. Fronts are still over 50% tread.

Add me to the list!

Only about 500 miles so far but the tire is quiet, street grip is solid, feels safe @ 120MPH, no complaints so far.

I finally replaced the crappy PZeros that were on the car when I bought it last year with the Sumitomos. Very pleased so far (only a couple of hundred miles in), they feel and sound much better than the PZeros.

Like I said, with my foot not exactly in my mouth, that I do NOT see the Nitto tires for the TT on the Nitto web site. That's great that you have them, but I don't see how me asking you for info on them is putting my foot in my mouth...

So, if you have Nitto tires and they are not the same size as the standard TT tires... reading the post before responding can be YOUR friend.

Either way, thanks.

So far I have not heard of the Sumitomo's being bigger than average from anyone.

I was limited on the track with but they held up fairly well, I'm a little more than half life and I feel they are noisey? However my DD is a CTT so I guess quiet is what I'm use to?

Thumbs up

Took the plunge on the Sumo's on my second set of rims (Pilot Sport SP2 on 19" for street on other set), not a true true race tire, but am liking them for the road, best bang for the buck IMHO

I've got, if I recall, about 8k miles on my Sumis and I think they're holding fine. Starting to get a little more road noise now than I used to, so they may be getting a little long in the tooth (or low in the tread)--I'll have to measure them soon, but I'd definitely go for another set when these give out

They are good tires but dont seem to last long at all. I am looking for something else with simular performance but longer life.
