New 60mm SpeedTech "Quiet" Exhaust Available

- New Product Announcement -
SpeedTech 60mm "Quiet" Exhaust

Due to the numerous requests for our "quiet" exhaust inserts, which reduce the sound of our full 70mm exhaust, we have decided to introduce a 60mm diameter "quiet" version of the popular Speedtech 996TT exhaust - at a reduced price. The quiet version 996TT SpeedTech Exhaust is identical to the Hi-Flow 70mm design, with the exception of smaller OEM style tubing diameter throughout and the accompanying reduced sound. One benefit is that you can re-use the OEM tips, which results in a cost savings, since the exhaust does not have to be supplied with tips. With reduced diameter piping throughout the entire exhaust, the sound is slightly quieter than the 70mm exhaust with the sound reducing inserts installed. This is a good choice for a daily driver that does not want too loud of an exhaust or for someone that wants a quieter exhaust, even at higher HP levels. I have run this exhaust back to back with the 70mm version and I can not feel any difference by "seat of the pants". The straight flow through pipe design (non chambered) provides high flow characteristics, even with the reduced piping diameter.

The regular retail Price of this exhaust is $2,095.00
The 6speed price is $1,750.00.

deandob is infamous around these parts
John, sounds like a good match for sub 600HP setups.

Are you planning to do a dyno run to compare the power differences between 60mm and 70mm?

Does the $1750 price not include tips (as you can reuse the OEM ones)?

Is the benefit of the new 60mm system over the stock unit lower weight, better exhaust note and better flow?

How does this model compare to stock for drone?

Dean,

Yes, we will do a dyno comparison at some point, but at this time I do not have a direct comparison dyno scheduled. I estimate that this exhaust will dyno slightly lower than the 70mm version, but close - especially on 650 HP or less cars. I think it will dyno 5-10 HP less, but still provide a healthy increase over stock. Remember, it is still a straight flow through design with only one set of 200 cell cats, so the performance over stock is still significant.

That is correct, this exhaust comes without tips, which is reflected in the lower price.

Is the benefit of the new 60mm system over the stock unit lower weight, better exhaust note and better flow?
Yes, that is exactly how I would descibe it.

IMO, this model does not have drone. It is higher pitched than the 70mm Hi-Flow version and has a different sound. It's raspier and not as deep sounding.
