Is the new BMW M6 really that easy to toast ?

M6 vs 996 TT with some "tweaks"
I thing i don't do is talk bull. I have raced a nissan gtr and at 170 it was he was behind at least 7 to 8 car lengths. I have raced a porsche with k24 turbos and an exhaust, he beat me by 1 1/2 car lenghts at 170. I was in shock because without the k24 it wasn't even close. I also have a 997 turbo tiptronic. When people say i pulled up to that m6 and took off and kicked it's ***, that is possible. In the 997 you can mash the throttle and you are gone. With the m6, you have to look around make sure you are in the clear and then hit it. It doesn't have the initial traction that the turbo has, nor can it stop on a dime like the turbo.
Next time i will post the video for the non believers.

Most think the M6 is really easy to drive fast with the SMG and it is with experience. However, most either have the settings in the wrong mode or if it is in M they dont pay attention to the revs and hit the rev limiter. The car simply revs so fast that if your not paying attention to the shifts you loose time when the rev limiter kicks in. It has happen to me in second gear against a 997tt...I lost. The second run we were neck and neck from a 50 mph roll through 4th gear with the M6. I've run against my neighbors 996tt GIAC with ruf exhaust on the highway and just pulled away after 5th gear. (edit FYI, my M6 is not stock..RPI pulley, Intake, x pipe and exhaust. The above runs were in S6, M mode and edc 2)
From a stop the 997tt and 996tt just jumps out of the hole and I'm just spinning...no chance.
Woodster, I love that video. Your car is amazing. I want a ride if I'm in your neck of the woods...please!

The car in the Video that I posted has more than a few tweaks and it is not mine,
it was built by Protomotive and owned by Divexxtreme. It is now owned by Acropora
in Western Michigan. It set a variety of records for a 3.6 ltr 996TT including a
60-130 mph in 4.67 and trapped 148 mph in the quarter (full weight 996TT).
My car can easily decimate any M6 and most turbo freaks M3 turbos (there are (2)
in my town but that is just one facet of these wonderful cars we are lucky enough to own and drive.
I love the M6, it is a fantastic cruiser with a world class engine/transmission combo,
but in my slippery part of the world, my money would go into an RS6, S5 or a new V-10 S6 with Quattro advantages.
Cheers,
