I too run Sunoco 100 out of the pump at $6.00 per gallon. After I installed my Proto package and ran one tank of it, 93 feels like I still have stock 16's.....Big difference [albeit 1.3bar v 1.1 bar probably has just a little to do with it...]

The Sunoco 100 octane I use has a higher SG than both MS103 of MS109 and my car loves it. I also get it for $5.99 a gallon right from the pump which is nice.
A higher SG means that the gas burns more slowly. Since my car has minimal bolt on mods, I need al the help I can get.

When I ran MS 103 and compared it to MS 109, I could feel a slight difference.

shelf-life of opened MS109

I just drove my '09 997TT EVT720 back from Phoenix to New Mexico, and saw a noticeable drop in performance as the 96-97 octane mix in the tank was progressively diluted by a couple of small top-offs (ended up around 92-93, as diluted by 91 pump gas).
Fortunately there were two 54 gallon drums of MS109 waiting in my garage (boy were those a ***** to get off of the truck!!). I will probably mix two or three gal of this into each pump refueling, to bring to 94+ for regular driving and then fill completely with 109 for track.
The car is not my daily driver, and so that will likely mean several months open for each can. What is the stability of the fuel? How long can I get away with having the can open? Any stabilizers that will help out, and are safe for the engine?
Oh and BTW, holy sh*t!!!! This car is the most unbelievable thing I've ever driven..... Incredible, unending power, and terriific handling and road feel with the Bilstein Damptronics. Really ought to keep it filled with 109 all the time, but it's pretty pricey.....

And how the heck do you get the drum open? I peeled back the foil off the larger opening, and there is a sort of bow-tie seal that I can't pry open with pliers. Does the smaller one have to be opened first to let a little air in? Is there a special tool for this?
