What Power Can You Get From K24/18g's ?

What would I be looking at from a K24/18g conversion?

600hp? - 650hp? - 700hp?

How much power can you get and what would be involved in going from 600-700 (if it's do-able?)

996twin_sc is infamous around these parts
on low boost about 600chp and on race about 650chp. You would have to upgrade your fuel system to get to 700.

what's involved in swapping the injectors and adding a second pump?

Are they a straight swap? or is there more to it than that?

Does peak HP change between a standard K24 and a K24/18? Or are both turbos capable of making the same peak HP, and its just the 18G spools up quicker putting you in boost longer through the power band?

I have the hybrids with headers and straight pipes, just dynoed at 525 rwhp so 600+ crank, this is with just the 5 bar FPR at 1.1 bar.

this is as much as I am willing to push the hp for a track car without internal mods.

Can't say the hp number, but Adam Bowles ran a verified a 6.96 60-130 w/ Proto 24/18, 5bar, Greddy and exhaust only. No fuel ie injectors or new turbo plumbing. That is a lot of hp in my book. I think he was at 1.3 bar on 104 but not positive.

If you are getting that kit, I can promise you will be dumbfounded at the driveability coupled with the violent power through ALL GEARS. Bowles car is a full weight turbo NOT a GT2!!!!

A lot of people, me included, feel it is the best bang for the buck out there. and I do not think you will ever, ever see one negative word spoken or written about Todd Knighton's ethics...or more importantly his absolute mastery of code and our ecu's!

A 6.96. With BOLT ONS. Whate else can be said?......

Best of luck with whatever you choose, keep us posted!!

plus custom lines=complete fuel system.

And the 6.96 is the bottom line to just how amazing these turbos are.

My car/turbos were installed before the development of the 24/18 hybrids (involved a fair amount of fabrication that would be expensive to undo) otherwise I would consider going w/ the hybrids over my GT 28's. I would have more up top, although mine hit faster.

Anyone know if Bowles has run on pump gas for a 60-130?

Maybe he will chime in here... wondering how much that race gas and extra boost shaves off the time.
