KeithTA Protomotive 997 vs. Chris Green USP 996
Well, we finally got a chance to run KeithTa's Protomotive 997 to do a little comparison against our 996.. Im going to let Chris chime in with the details on the mods as I handle just the Evo Division @ USP.. The race was 40-190mph and i would guesstimate 2-3 cars lengths at top speed.. The 996 was the film car..

Mike your to funny LOL. EPL for the win!

Guys theres nothing close to receiving a custom tune. Chris spent less then 5k to get this fast. It really comes down to tuning.

Nice run! Both cars look very quick. Doesn't Ketih's car put down 700whp and 650 ftlbs of TQ. (see link) I assumed that was AWD whp. Is the EPL car also AWHP?

What boost did both cars run?
If someone lost to a 18g with 30rs then something doesnt add up... thats assuming they were in all out(boost) mode...
any more info?

Based on the dyno numbers it looks like the EPL car puts down 637rwhp at 1.35 bars and Keith's car puts down 701rwhp at 1.25 bars. How much boost were these cars running in this race? Is there a weight advantage between a 997 and a 996?

We were both running 1.30 bar, both on race gas, both had a person in the car that weighed the same.
Dont forget markski bigger is not always better, it's all about the power band not just peak numbers.

ive beat 35r evos making 500+ with a 16g turbo.. bigger isnt better.. i can show you what a good "powerband" means as compared to "Peak HP".. Im sure you can understand that right??

I have been around a little to long to believe that that 997tt is 100%. I dont think it ever was. With that said, the fact is, is that you guys have a reallly nice set up...
Good work,
mark

I recall he had some DV problems I think.... did he ever fix that? He was complaining that he looses boost between shifts....I remember I told him to go to your shop to take a look a while back...
