Tommy Banh...Porsche
I just wanted everyone to know that there is a new independent shop option for Porsche owners in Houston.
Tommy Banh, of Autobanh Motorsports, who is legendary in the Supra community is now working on Porsche's (yes, he has a manual). Tommy installed my ATS triple carbon clutch and repaired my broken crank bolt. Everything is holding strong.
There are several things I like about Tommy. He is very careful and conscientious about his work. He is meticulous about making sure everything is just right. And if you bring your car to him he will work on it, not some shop monkey who is there because of the shortage of qualified Porsche mechanics (a very real concern, and I was informed of this fact BY an independent Porsche shop owner).
Also, Tommy charges a very fair price. I have found that even independent Porsche shops are charging around 10-15% more than they should (I believe this phenomena is called the "Porsche tax"). And of course they always defend their charges w/ "the stealer would have charged 40% more".
So all in all, I have had a positive experience with Tommy, check him out.

I have known Tommy as my mechanic of choice and shop of choice in Houston for over 10 years now. I trust him FULLY with my cars/builds and he will do a great job for the p-car community! Just another "thumbs up" from a satisfied customer...

Tommy is definitely a solid guy had the pleasure of knowing him for a few years as a result of TX2K, you're in good hands with him in the Houston area for sure.
Peter , can't wait for the dates for TX, I start my new "old" job again, and won't have work preventing me from attending this year. If you could make it within a week or two from the mile that would be great as well for a new project
