How many of you take your beater to go on first dates?
My beater is an E30 325is that's got non-working radio, air conditioning, cracked leather seats, and dash.

I take my beater to go on first dates (and second, and third) until about a month into it, then I show up in the Turbo. The expression on the last girl's face was quite priceless. Going from showing up at her apartment with the clunky old 325is to a bright yellow Turbo.

My "beater" is an M5... and that already causes enough trouble.

You wouldn't think chicks would know an M5 but they sure as hell do.

Chicks know EVERYTHING in LA. They know the price of everything you have from your shoes to your couch to your car. My answer to this question really depends on the girl, how i met her, and what i plan to do with her, but in general i definitely hear where you are coming from and prefer to keep the nice stuff under wraps for a while.

I usually just do whatever is convenient, I've gone on first dates in my Honda Civic and Ford Focus SVT, the girls I go ut with should not care about that kind of stuff. They do, because let's face it this is LA and there are people who front and people who hate everywhere so it's hard not to be aware of what's around you unless you live in a freaking cave.

once they come to the house and we go in through the garage and see the cabriolet and the lotus, they are pleased.
