Inexpensive Tires and Brakes?

Hello ya'll,

I need some advice. I need new rear tires, front rotors and brake pads. My car is for sale and am looking to limit my losses. I guess I need to raise my asking price since its not selling and its super cheap already($47K). Additionally, having it in ready to go condition will help.

The tires I'm looking at are either PS2's or Sumitomo HTR Z III for $188/rears, or the Kumho Ecstas $231/rears.

Whats the best idea? Wondering what your thoughts are as far as keeping my money and what helps sell the car?

The front rotors are going to need replacing and I need pads on all corners. Should I get rotors later if I can go five thousand miles on the old ones, or should I get new ones when I get pads?

What is the most inexpensive place to buy all of the above?

Thanks for the help,
Ryan

how do u know you need rotors? has it been measured to be out of spec?

i'd change pads with oem (textar is fine) and rotor only if they are out of spec. do it yourself or at an indept shop.

as for tires, leave it to the buyer and just price it lower. buyer can choose what he wants...

The problem with the tires is I need them NOW . Where are the Textar pads for sale? I Haven't had them measured, but the cracks in the cross drilling is starting to look suspicious. I'll have them check soon.

It's going to look tacky to have different tire brands on front
and back... It would give the appearance of an uncared-for car...
Good luck,
Joe

+1

Maybe find used ones on ebay that will match the fronts?

(I only suggest this due to your unusual situation...)
