I see many of you have those awesome mounts and extinguishers.

From what I have read they are for GT seats.

Are there sets for stock seats?

If so, where do I purchase?

Thanks.

call George at Akkurat (650) 381-0000. they sell the best safecraft extinguishers and I am 99% certain they can also hook you up with the bracket for the stock seat too.

uhh, no offense Don, the Amerex extinguisher does not compare to the Safecraft unit. (I don't think you guys knew about the Safecratft units when you blazed the trail doing the extinguisher installs "back in the day".) I is also true that the Amerex is less costly so depending on individual likes / dislikes and needs it also works well. You are (as usual) correct about the BK mount you pictured for the stock seat (it is a sweet little hunk 'o steel). Although BK does not sell direct and therefore since we must go through a dealer, many recommend Akkurat as a great source. They also may still have a few of the Amerex units in the shop that I dropped off (prior to any installation) since I went with the Safecraft baby.

The special yellow color is presently not available, but I hear George is working on a new batch. (At least I am trying to convince him to have another special run produced.)

I wonder if there is something that will fit Recaro pole positions.

The setup that Don has is fine, with stock seats that BK bracket works well.

Sho nuf does. Been there, done that. Works just great!

And just to be clarify (so that someone that might prefer the Safecraft extinguisher does not missunderstand and think that only the Amerex pictured in Don's post can work with stock seats), the BK bracket pictured works with either the Amerex or the Safecraft extinguisher.

It should also be noted that some (not all) passengers have complained about the more cumbersome configuration and design of the handle assembly on the Amerex. The Safecraft solved those concerns as it is more compact and the handle projects far less into the floor / leg area. Additionaly, the edges on the Safecraft are much smother than the Amerex and not as painful when bumped into with a heal or Achilles tendon.

It is great that there are multiple products to meet multiple needs.

I bought the bottle back in 97 so I don't have a receipt. Purchased the mount from Windward Porsche in Putney Vermont in 12/01. Paid 109.00
