Nice passes Chris. If you're not running an LSD, do you think that's your problem? Without an LSD, all the rotational energy is guided to the side with the least resistance.

Have you tried going to Immokalee Raceway? It's an 1/8 mile track but they are pretty lenient when it comes to safety equipment plus track prep is pretty consistent. Anyways, great numbers and keep up the good work!

Not me. And I hook better without one than my Z06, M3 and Supra did with one.

I'm not suprised as the 996TT actually has weight over the rear wheels vs those cars. You make it sound like an open diff gives better traction than an LSD. Like I said in my previous post, when an open diff starts to lose traction all the torque goes to the tire with the least traction. How is this a good thing?

Chris is admittedly not hooking well with rwd and open diff. What do you suggest?

Car doesn't seem to come out Sideways so it may not be as much of a necessity as some may think, at least for racing on the 1320.

I'm not "making it sound" like anything. I'm simply stating, factually, that my 996TT, with an open diff...hooks better than any of the my other high HP cars did that had LSDs. Even when they were on drag radials. The rear-weight bias of these cars on the proper tire provides amazing traction. I personally see no need for an LSD for street and 1/4 mile driving.

I'm not sure. I'm making a lot more power than he is, but I hook well from 2nd on up on both 305/35 Nitto DRs and 295/35 BFG DRs on both the street and the track....and neither of those tires are as sticky as his MTs are. I run 20 psi in my rears at all times...and he's running 12 psi in the MTs...so I'm as confused about this as he is.

If I had any suggestions to help him out, I would definitely share them.
