Need some quick pricing advice -- '02 996TT
Hey guys, sold my ACR Viper and Z06 and am thinking about getting a 996 TT. What do you think about pricing on this one:
2002 996 TT, Seal Gray, black interior, about 38k miles, X-50, factory aero package. Mods include HREs, Fabspeed, GIAC, PSS9, etc.
What do you guys think?
Thanks!
Christian

Recent purchase of an 02 996tt
Although i live In Canada, i boutht it in St louis. it only had 17,000 k miles on it, and it was totally stock. which i prefer, to indicate less hotrodding.
(owned by a doctor previously).. but i suppose that can be debatable...lol.
Paid 65 for the car US dollars. by the time i got it home with import tax, cost a total of 73 ish. But considering another similar at the dealership here was going for 9+ tax, i consider it a steal. ... In the color i wanted, with the wide winged seats aswell. SWEET!
I say bite the bullet, find something ya like, and grab it..... ya won't be disapointed... but be warry of cars with lots of aftermarket mods. I personally think it indicates a "Led foot driver", which could cause you lots of headaches in the future.

Huntin for a 996tt
Your right with the current market. Lots of Luxury items in the US have taken a bit of a hit... there always the first to go when ya "wanna keep your home"..lol.
I got mine just before the end of last year, but considering the mileage, and it's "single owner" history, i'm certainly happy... after all. Everything becomes depreciated in time... Enjoy it while ya have it..
Pedel to the metal.

If the car is set up the way you like, then make an offer you can live with. The only thing not ideal is the miles are more than you'd like, but at 6,000/year it's far from excessive. It certainly has a lot going for it in the factory X-50/aerokit and desirable mods if you were going to do that or seek that out.

Considering that on trade-in he is going to get anywhere from 35-40K... an offer of mid 50s is a good one...
I wish I could conviced my wife to get a second one... the market is so soft that is a joke what these cars are going for... this is top of the line Porsche we are talking about... they are even lower than the C4S of the same year... goes to show you how many people are clueless about Porsche car internals when a car with a disposable engine and tranny is going for higher than one with internals that date back to the racing years...

Ha. Well if he really wants to sell it, he will have to become flexible...
