I wouldn't do K24/20gs without building the bottom end. You're buying more lag but not more usable power unless you fortify the block to take that abuse.

lagger than 18g's by 200rpm only!

and yes i said if he wanna go with 580-600 on wheels on low boost PE700 with 18g's or PE740 with 20g's is way to go!!

20g's pull much HARDER on top-end

18g's PE700 and 20g's PE740 should include ( fuel system, bigger coolers, bigger MAF, bigger injectors...etc)

And he has Paula's gender pegged.

He is also correct, you will need 24/18's and a fuel system to beat the Corvette.

you dont need a to build teh bottom end for the 20 gs. u may wanna turn teh gain downa bit when your running race gas .. lag isnt much more different then the 18s hardly noticable . they really shine on good gas though...

I'm not happy about this thread guys! I just bought a slew of hi-po parts including V-Flow, headers, exhaust, GT28 hybrids, EVO IC's, 60lb. injectors, DV's, and Imagine ECU. Now it seems 18g's were the way to go..

Well, I'm not looking for the absolute fastest setup, just a sizeable power gain. The appeal of the GT28 hybrid setup was the stock exhaust housing meant a bolt-on installation w/ no modifications to make them fit.

vbzatty,

Don't worry you will have a great set up. 24/18's are all the rage on 6 speed because some members have done very well w/ them. However your set up will be awesome and is loved by many. IMO, what you have is the Ultimate track set up.

If you really want big power GT 30's are superior in pretty much every way to 24/18/20's. Enjoy your car.

How much did you pay for your GT 28's?

Easy answer to this question............Straight line race who wins...... 24/18G w/ fuel system or GT28 hybrids w/ fuel system....... mind you both cars have the same mods, whether it be bigger IC's, TB or whatever else. oooh and from 0 (or rolling start) to 160 straight out RACE
