I know they are replicas but seems like a decent set for winter - will the following sizes/offset work?
8x10 et 50
8x10 et 46

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Po...d=p3911.c0.m14

I will go with porsche reco tire sizes - 225 front, 265 rears. probably pirelli winter sport 240 or blizzaks lm25.

According to the seller that offset works with no spacers.

i was looking into the replica 997 wheels to run as winter tires too
they will definitely fit without spacers if you get the right offset, i have an article on my computer at the office that i can check, but i recall the 996 widebodies needing 65mm offset in the rear?

you are right that 65mm is the right offset. However

these are 8x10 (and not 8x11 as the original wheels) so if I am doing the math right, you loose an inch (10 size) but then the offset at 46 gives you back ~3/4 of an inch so the wheels should still look right without (I Think!). The 8x10 are better for the 265 rear tires. Let me know what you find out from the article you have.
