Stoplight races pale in comparison to street roll races. Of which the GT-R wont have much chance vs anything but a K16 TT. Not only that, the GT-R can only take so many launches, so owners will not be willing to use them all up so easily.

See for yourself.

many more of these with 115's and 116's than anything near 120.

A FAR FAR cry from the 120's and 121's (need I harp on the fake 124 mph trap from car and driver again?) We were seeing in the mags. Note- a 2.0 60' is good enough to acheive a good trap speed, so they are not botching launches.
The skyline did 3 runs, best run of the night for him was 11.8@117

And that's at English town, one of the fastest tracks in the country. 400 ft below sea level, and still only managed a 117 mph. C5Z's do that there, I think that is the same place Jamie Furman ran a 10.9 @ 128 in a stock C6Z.

So when they show up at non ideal locations you can expect 2-3 mph slower, which puts it at 114. And a couple tenths which puts it at 12.0.

Now it's really hard to beleive many will really be trapping 120's when one is trapping 117 at Etown.

Good post.
