Edwin - where in the SF Bay area is the car located?

BTW - my thoughts are with you and the others in the path of Ike - I hope you all fair well through the storm.

Hi Rich,

It's in the Burlingame area. About 3 miles west of Chinatown.

Thanks for the kind words. I wasn't able to buy enouhg wood to cover the front of my house (where the wind is expected to hit.). I'm praying for the best. I'll report back as much as I can

I didn't board up...I did 3 years ago and the wind barely blew.

Man I hope I didn't make a mistake. Suede Henredon furniture, hand made rugs and a killer home theater system would not do well in water.

Thanks Edwin...what part of town are you in?

I am in Sugarland. Wind should be between 70-100 here. I believe 85 is when windows break so I am crossing my fingers.

Just waiting for the winds and driving rain. We're staying home, which is about 75 miles from the coast. With lots of pine trees around we may get serious damage if the winds are as strong as they fear. I don't know how flexible the trees are after our dry summer.
