MS 109 vs C16
#2
In in most if not call cases I have been able to archive MBT before reaching detonation on both c16 and 109. This tells me that for most applications ms 109 is as good of a choose as c16.
I reserve c16 for very high boost, nitrous or VERY high horsepower stock motor applications.
For what its worth, my personal car runs over 2 bar of boost very regularly on ms 109.

Thanks for your words of wisdom, I currently run MS109 but I have removed by cats so I am debating on which one I should use? I hope others can chime in please.

My guess is you will see little to no gain...

Very mildly built 2.7t Audi engine...not a 996tt, should have specified.

isn't C16 a lot more "corrosive' than ms109, ie... don't let it sit in your tank for any period of time? I always used C16 in my turbo bikes and always had to drain after every race, or you will have a destroyed fuel system and everything dyed blue!!!

Correct, its very corrosive. I have seen external wastegastes stick closed because of c16 corrosion....not really good if you like being able to control boost .

Exactly...me too, also ruins o-rings and other soft parts of fuel system components. Do yourself a favor and stay away from C16 unless you're running MONSTER boost and can drain your fuel after anything other than daily use.

C16 is higher octane and might be "safer", but again I think you would only reap the benefits at huge boost levels. For our cars I think huge boost levels are over 1.6 -1.7 bar. It also cost more and MS109 seems to do the trick as far as tuners go. Maybe some tuners don't know about MS109 yet? I've been racing for a very long time and just heard about it this year. VP makes too many fuels!!!!!

Yes, there seems to be a plethora of fuels.. from As to Qs LOL I am planning on running 2 bars more or less... so I am just trying to get a feel of what fuel I should use?
