1800 mile 3 day roadtrip.

Just got back from my 1st roadtrip in my 03 turbo.
I've done many in my previous C2, but this was my 1st turbo treat.
Picked up a bunch of insects and cleaned out the engine of a silicon valley homed freeway crawler.

At one point I ran it for 25 miles on a flat desert road at just above 60 and saw 30 mpg (average over 25 miles, cruise control on, very flat road)

Now I'm enthusiastically informing my work colleagues to quit banging on about 30MPG civics as if it's some sort of achievement.

Hard to say. Didn't measure it overall.
And I didn't do the math on the receipts to ensure dashboard accuracy, but I did keep an eye on it in several places.

I drove from Las Vegas to Winslow, Arizona along I40 at an indicated 85 for most of the day, almost constant speed, great area ! (82-83 by GPS) I averaged 26.1, including a gas stop.

Another point heading towards Mojave from Barstow indicated 70'ish averaged 28.X (something) but around 28mpg.

My older C2 only did marginally better than the turbo.

i used to be amazed at what my C6 Corvette and even my C5 Z06 would get mileage wise. easy 30 on the highway, all day long

im averaging 19 in the 997, no complaints at all!
