Best Sounding 996 TT Exhaust?
Hey guys, i need to ask you for more ideas...
For some just a few stick out in my mind right now..
Tubi Style
Kreis-sieg
Anyone have any good ideas? The 997TT sounds very nice, but i often find that damn rasp on the 996 kills any potential exhaust choice...

This quesion comes up a lot. There have been many threads, so searching may be helpful to you. What sounds good to one person may sound bad to another. It is a very subjective question. In general, if you choose one that is very loud you will have to deal with drone. I hate drone while some people do not even notice it.
I like a deep raspy tone, mellow at low rpm, but screams at wide open throttle. The ones I have heard that fit this description are Cargraphic, AWE, and 9ff. Right now I have a 9ff with muffler bypass valve that is controlled by a switch in the cabin. It allows the best of both worlds: a mellow sound while in the neighborhood and super loud unobstructed flow at the track.

As stated, this comes up a lot:
UMW,
GMG,
Switzer are the ones "I" think sound best. I happen to have a Switzer. I have not heard the speedtech, but the price is the best and Mikelly loves his and on John D's site it sounds great.
Good luck. Agency power units have neat tips...there are perhaps more options on exhausts than ANY other aftermarket item....so it is a tough call. In some ways, you cannot possible sample of the units out there. Youtube has tons of videos...but various cars/tunes/drivers makes it hard to know. Recording a sound well is also non-trivial. My camera has stereo mics built in...most don't.
My unit can be found on youtube if you search for "jcbmemphis"....no hyphen....

I know exhausts are very subjective but if you get chance listen to a Europipe, my stage II loud with 100 cell cats is intoxicating. A proper menacing rumble low down and a scream like a banshee when you give it the beans! Listen to as many as you can in person, do not rely on sound bites from you tube or crappy video samples, they do not do any system justice.
