Hey Chris,
What kind of air intake are you guys using with this setup? Intake Plenium, TB size etc... I'd love to know how far away I am from doing this type of setup hardware wise.

Nice work Chris!

Audikp - This is the off the shelf water injection file for k24/18g's. This is less aggressive then the true k24/18g race gas file.

Great results, Chris. I love my recent EPL tune and seat of the pants says the car is making more power than ever. I feel these are numbers that one can expect with an EPL K24/18G tune.

The reason I say that is at 1.1 bar we dynoed 490 - 505 AWHP, at 1.27 we dynoed 550 AWHP - about 25-30HP per bar. At 1.43, theoretically we would have been at about 590-600 AWHP or well into the 700's FWHP (using Tony's known conversion of 1.21 on his dyno).

So Chris, are you finding that the second pump is required, as there has been some talk that it may not be necessary?

Also, get that thing to the strip! I would love to see what it can do with a Pro driver...

John,
From my experience at 5000RPM or so I maxed out my fuel pump at 657rwhp because it went into the 13.0:1 area so I let out of the gas before it went to lean.

I installed a second pump (Bosch 044) also. I am still utilizing stock lines because I can't pull the motor to install bigger ones.

Chris-

Thats very close power wise to where Chris G max'ed his pump out. Now he's at the end of 60lb injectors..... you will be soon too .

Tony, so what is the theoretical AWHP number where the 60lb. injectors would be maxed out (utilizing the dual 044 pumps)?

Where were we on the injectors, percentage wise at the 1.27 bar - 550AWHP/610 torque level?

John,

On 60lb injectors at 4 bar at 1.3 bar of boost your peak injector duty cycle was 91%.

From a good tuning prospective, 80-85% is the limit of what you want to run an injector to. In theory....you need bigger injectors....in theory so do chipped k16 cars.

i agree , knocking on the 700 awhp door on a stock motor , sooner or later you will hear the rods knocking through the heads.

Can someone show me results where a rod failure in a 996TT caused an engine to blow up? I've always heard how "weak" the rods are, yet every time I see a post about an engine god bad it's a result of detonation / lack of fuel / lack of a quality fuel. The rods look pretty beefy from what I've seen in comparison to other aftermarket and OEM products. I guess there's only 1 way to find out firsthand.

Great work Guys! Love seeing your and others' successes in tuning these cars. Question - What size injectors are used in the EVO GT700 packages? Just trying to get a handle on my current limits with the GT28's. At WOT & 1.5 bar, I'm at ~ 10.5 AFR. I've heard the GT28's don't flow as much at the top end as the K24/18g's.

Cool!
