Yo yo Dr. J, time for a song
#18
By popular request, My New song.
But first a bit of background;
Due to Paulies' insufferable gloating over running me even and Markski's urging, I decided to replace my GT 28's with GT 30's. Tommy Banh was eager to install it. This started off as a $4K project (yeah right!) but eventually got more expensive. Dan Mermelstein from Vivid convinced me to go with his adapter kit as opposed to having my existing set up (headers etc.) fabbed up.
I purchased Dans kit and the quality was very good and the price quite fair. However once the kit was (finally) installed, it didn't fit my exhaust. At the time Dan was gone on his honeymoon and it was looking as if I would have to get rid of my (expensive) Europipe exhaust or spend a ton on fabrication. As it turned out the fabrication was only $400 (thanks Tommy). Furthermore Dan gave me $300 in credit. I bought a *****in pair of DC shoes (and if they fit well will probably get another pair).
So here is the song (to the tune of the Beatles "Yesterday"):
"Mermelstein, had a kit and it was Oh-so-clean,
Thought I'd slap it on my mean machine
So I bought shoes from Mermelstein
Mermelstein, had a kit but it didn't fit
Tommy Banh nearly took a ****
So I bought shoes from Mermelstein
Why'd he have to go away on a honeymoon,
Left me all alone while he tagged some poon
There was something wrong
So I longed for Mermelstein
Mermelstein, gave me credit for the extra fab,
Saw some shoes I just had to have,
So I bought shoes from Mermelstein
Yes I bought shoes from Mermelstein

Thank you, thank you,
BTW, the kit is on the car and running fine. On Thursday we start tuning.
Ben, are you going to be at Frank N Steins on Sat?
We are meeting and if my car is ready heading out to Sealy for the 60-130 event.
