Replaced my clutch slave...
My clutch slave was going bad, the front reservoir kept leaking pentosin.
I called Suncoast on Wednesday and Rick got it to me on Friday. Thanks Rick. I called Mikelly for guidance and he said that we could do the replacement on Saturday at his well equiped garage.
I have read his post on his replacement experience and I was glad to have him guide me on this project. I was fortunate to avoid some problems that he incountered. In all it took us a little over 3 hrs. having the car up on the lift made life much easier. I don't think I would have had a great time doing this job by myself.
Since we had the car up we changed the brake pads and flushed the system.
Thanks Mike for your help and hospitality.

Once again, thanks Mike for the help.
Now for allowing me to drive your beast of a machine well, it makes my k16's feel underpowered. I like your clutch set up and the power was amazing. All I can think of is new turbos!

I wonder if the clutch slave and accumulator are something that will eventually go bad on all 996TT's or if it's an isolated problem for a percentage of cars? Sunset is having a sale this month on both parts and I keep thinking I should buy them just in case.

These particular parts are made to fail as a wear item. I plan to eventually get the GT2 kit and be done with Pentosin in the clutch system. It's the DUMBEST and potentially most dangerous chemical to use on something that's known to fail.
