Ok, I went and measured my tires and the rears are 25.5" and the front is 25". Is this ok?

Edwin, As I said in PM, mine TT ran 235/295 setup for over 25K miles without problem and replace with 235/315 setup. I forget to mentions, they're ContiSportContact 2. I've check with conti official site, size as below.

235-35-19 = 25.3"
295-30-19 = 25.9"
315-25-19 = 25.1"

In case you're running PS2, here are the spec.

235-35-19 = 25.5"
295-30-19 = 26"
315-25-19 = 25.2"

Also you could run these:
Continental ContiSportContact 3 Front: 235/40ZR19 Rear: 305/30ZR19
Yokohama ADVAN Sport Front: 235/40ZR19 Rear: 305/30ZR19

These are the sizes I am running on my HRE P40's, as I wanted a little more sidewall height for these horrible roads in Ohio and Michigan. Michelin does not offer the PS2 in a 235/40ZR19, so the sizes I listed would not work if you want PS2's. Hope this helps...I always like options.

Alan,

Who did you confirm this with? I measured my rear tires last night and it was 25.5" (inflated - not sure if that makes a difference).

I also just received a email back by contacting dunlop.com and this is their
response:

" The overall diameter is 25". Thank you for contacting our web site.

I measured from the floor to the top of the tire. Did I do that wrong?

Recently one tire manufacturer, Hoosier, stopped making it's 305/30-18.
Now they list a 315/30-18. *It's the same tire*! They just decided that the
actual tire dimensions were closer to the 315 meaning, so after 6 years they
just changed what was printed on the sidewall.

Joe,

Very interesting. I would think that manufacturers would be more careful about what they print and their specs. Technically, if this set up that I'm running destroys my front diff, won't dunlop be held liable for false information? Granted, I'm not going to sue them but wouldn't I have a pretty strong case?

I just notice you're running MAXX GT, from Dunlop official site, your measurement is correct.

http://www.dunloptires.com/dunlop/di...ea=Performance
235-35-19 = 25.5"
295-30-19 = 25"

For the true tire size calculation
235-35-19 = 25.47 646.93 mm
295-30-19 = 25.96" 659.38 mm
295-25-19 = 24.80" 629.92 mm

305-30-19 = 26.20" 665.48 mm
315-25-19 = 25.20" 640.08 mm

Your MAXX GT is 25" and it should mark as 295-25-19.

Alan,

Is this how I should measure it? I measure 25.5" so the notion that it's supposed to be 26" is also incorrect no?

ok, so the 25.5 front and the 25 rear is more desirable than the 295-30 which is 26"?
