Who's "THE" man? IPD's Turbo Mike!!!
I have to say I was blown away on Friday by Turbo Mike's customer service. I bought a used IPD plenum - not even a new one from him - and called him on Thursday afternoon.
He said he would come out to my house Friday morning and install it for me. He also brought a larger 75mm throttle body which he had to machine for me late Thusday night in order to be able to bring it on Friday morning.
He showed up bright eyed and bushy tailed on Friday and installed the plenum with ease while providing a wealth of information during the install.
We went for a test drive around noon in mid day heat of about 83 degrees.
The car pulled very strong right away even before it was warmed up and I got into the higher revs.
After we had made it to a more open road I noticed the new ease with which power unfolded now. Keep in mind it was 83 degrees and Turbo Mike was in my car. I rarely have a passenger in my car. I drove the car somewhat agressively, shifting at redline through third gear several times.
The car performed much better than the night before when I drove in canyons above PCH by myself and in 60 degree weather. You guys know that on a high HP car that kind of temp delta on pump gas is about 35 to 45 HP. My car is still on OEM intercoolers.
Very strange..... Could it be that a tiny piece like the IPD plenum could make such a difference? Why have I tried three different Turbo set-ups and never this magical tiny plenum?
After repeated runs throught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears with Turbo Mike holding on his life as my Brembos had to work overtime to avoid three seperate collisions my verdict was in.
Turbo Mike is "THE" man!!!
Truely insame that Turbo Mike cooked up the idea and designed his IPD plenum just by himself.
Did I say this before? Turbo Mike is "THE" man!!! No surprise all tuners resell his plenum now.
Count me in for any other product you'll engineer.
Thanks Turbo Mike.

I have said it before and will say it again, DON'T mess with Mike. He is the Tyson of P-cars. I heard the news about your car from Mike. Enjoy it.

Oliver,
Good to see you again on Sunday. The cruise was fun. I love Latigo in the Pcar (and on my motorcycles)...
Good to meet Turbo Mike as well. I may have to do the plenum soon after hearing your story. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey Oliver,
I'm glad to see that your all up and running with your mods and did the plenum. I can't wait to upgrade to the 75mm and T-body next week. Mike is really cool/knowledgeable and I don't think you will find a single person to say otherwise. That's rare. Hope to see you for the SEMA trip. Just have to see what happens this next week.
Cheers,
Sam
