i know a little blue smoke is ok at startup .my car has just started this habit, but on a grand scale. not only smoke but i can smell the oil . no leaks that i can see seems to be on the left side and goes away after about 100 yds. and it's not a consisant thing thanks in advance

 

hey it gets worse drove the car about 325 miles used adout 1ans 3/4s quarts of oil.. starteed it up in the gararge no smoke reved it up and here comes lots of blue smoke... car responds well runs fine so am thinking bad turbo any ideas have kevins turbos with mybe 5k on then always cooled then down after hard driving with all the smoke would think the plugs would be fouled but no missing

 

ok on my drivers sid turbo i spy oil near the acuator rods above then a gasket ??

 

Sounds like a turbo leaking internally. Little smoke on start up is bc the way the engine is set up horizontally opposed (flat) which while the vehicle is sitting for a while it can leak past the piston rings easier. But this sounds like a turbo.

 

thanks for the replay if the bearings were bad would i see oil on the outside of the housing near the acuator rod adjustment seems like that would not be the case any ideas maybe a gasket?
