It isn't easy. You will destroy the old ones getting them of. I suggest starting and edge and pulling them gently and evenly until it is off. You are going to need some grease and wax remover as the old tape will still be attached. This simply takes time and elbow grease to get off. You will want to pull the lower half of the door seal up to access the whole sill.

As Stephen said it takes some time and effort. I pulled up all the edges exposing the tape and then soaked it with solvent to cut the glue. Then I took off what I could and used a plastic putty knife to scrape off the remaining glue. Take your time and soak them, let them sit for a while then work on a section. Then repeat the process until they are all off. It does take time as mentioned, but they will come off clean. I have heard of some using a hair dryer to heat them up and pulling them off but I used the other method. Obviously you will have to wax the areas around the sills as the solvent will remove the wax where it drips.
Good Luck

You need to see them on a car to get the proper prespective. The lettering is large, but it appears larger in a photo of only the sill. I think you will like them once installed. I have had nothing but positive comments and the "I have to get those" statements.
Just a comment, I would have never been able to get mine off with dental floss.. It would not have been strong enough. It took much force to pull them off after soaking them with solvent.
