Yes Sir, I know Mike aka Simpply very well. I just had lunch with him yesterday. He came over to get to tires mounted. He has K04/K16s in that S4 beast now and is going to dyno tomorrow, he's expecting ~600chp (on 100 octane).
On K04s, he ran a 11.72@119mph at Fontana in 95F and the car weighed a portly 4,000lbs. Since then he's dropped the car to 3,700lbs. and figures to be able to do low 11s on the K04/K16s.
Once he gets everything optimized, I'm going to have him and another Mike work on my S4. My goal is 3,300lbs. at 600+chp, daily driven.

S4MadMan, do you plan on going to Laguna Seca this year with the ACNA? I'm storing my car down in AZ this winter, and perhaps we could meet up on my way out there. You'd probably like my 400+chp 1.8T that Piggie and I built up

Matt,
I was at the Chicago dyno runs when four 996 Turbos were dynoed. There were two Stage II cars, one a EVO and a Upsolute. They were both producing around 550 horsepower at the flywheel. My car and another Stage 4GTR both produced over 640 horsepower at the flywheel. When we run these cars side by side(Stage II vs. Stage 4GTR) , the Stage 4GTR cars pull away.
I think it is premature to be skeptical about anyones products(EVO, Upsolute, etc) unless you have spent as much time as some of us on the dyno or running 996 turbos side by side to be critical of anyones product.
I have had three different ECU's on my car, four exhausts, three different sets ofturbos and all I can say is I am very please with EVOs products. I will withhold judgement on the 750 package until I have first hand experience. I would suggest you do the same.
Peace

Hi Sherpa, so you're the one with the crazy A4 Mike/Mr. Piggie was all excited about. He told me about your A4, very nice.
I wasn't planning on going to Laguna but if I have the time, I'll try to make the trip.

The short answer is none now, since the light-blue Nardo engined car that did this is a wide-body...........
The narrowbodies were faster than fat-bodies back in the days of the CTR, as the Turbos had really poor aerodynamics. In the 996 there's much less difference.
They used to quote 10+ mph added from using the narrowbody in the 80's, but I think Alois mentioned it is only a few mph difference on the 996 when I was there a few months ago.

SOME SERIOUS HOSTILITY HERE!!!
CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???
The irony is that, notwithstanding the endless modification options available today, most of the seriously modified 996TTs are, with a few notable exceptions, remarkably similar performance wise (within a half second ¼ wise, with track times varying by only a few percent). Whether 650 hp or 800 hp, the performance stats I am aware of aren’t that far apart. Therefore, rather than denigrating fellow enthusiasts for selecting one option over the other, we should instead be celebrating our common passion.

I don't doubt my number at all. I just sold my 9 sec Z06 and can tell you this car is pretty damn close. I have had several fast cars and this Porsche is by far the most impressive. I am very happy with it. I hope you are happy with your car as well.
BTW where's your number?? Have you had yours independantly checked?

no hard feelings, but if you are so confident your car is producing 670 whp, then take it to the dyno and put the numbers up here so we can see please.

I am content with my 600 bhp car for now, because I use it for a daily driver and dont have time to put 100 octane in my car all the time, plus I am not really crazy about dropping $1k per month on gas alone. When I get my E60 M5 next year, I will put the ZC turbos on my car, etc. and make just over 700 flywheel HP.

You have no proof of your claims and, to be honest, it seems you are just spewing what your tuner, (a competitor), has told you.
You say you have 600hp ... where is YOUR Dyno to prove that or is this what your tuner told you? Oh yes what was their name again ... never heard of em'
... and this crap about when I get my M5 then I'll ... you sound like a ****in' ricer to me. Talk about what YOU HAVE DONE. Everybody has a fantasy project.
My main problem with you is you are making allegations against a respected tuner that you have no experience with. You have already heard from several EVO customers on this thread that have invited you to check out their cars. EVO has offered you a tour ... I'll even pay for your flight if you can't afford the $100.00 plane fare.
Todd even flew up here to Denver to prep the local dealership and show them what he has done to my car so they can service it. Todd and the EVO crew have shown us all that they are ready to help at the drop of a dime and have been rewarded by many of us with our business.
Just so you know, in this country, you are inoccent until proven guilty. Prove you allegations or shut the **** up!
