Clutch Question - feel rougher

i have a 04 turbo with 25k miles

the clutch is harder to press down before starting the car, and feels like it's catching a bit on the way down.. like arthritis (my knees anyway)

there's no issue with slipping when i'm out driving, but i was wondering if that's what's next.

how long are these clutches supposed to last anyway?

i drive it mostly on the weekends for fun, and it's never been on the track.

any thoughts and comments would be appreciated

Sounds like accumulator or slave, is it making any noise?

This may be a stupid question, but did you check your accumulator level?

Sounds like an accumulator to me. Early signs of an accumulator failing is hard pedal when starting up and then back to normal after the car is up and running. What happens is the accumulator after sitting a while it will internally bleed down its pressure and that is why you have a stiff pedal start up bc there is no hydraulic assist. A lot of shops will charge you the labor time to get the slave out too, but the accumulator can be sneaked out.
