I am amazed at the number of high end cars out there that sell without full
documentation.

apparently its holding back/dropping off higher up the range.

I am on standard diverter valves which I thought might be a problem?

Thoughts?

cheers

Dyno Dynamics is the most conservative dyno out there. 426whp translates to about almost 500whp on other dynos. I think you may have a stage I or stage II kit. Can you contact the owner and find out what the software was? Stock ECU does not go above 0.8bar.

The dyno dynamics operator says it was a very smooth map just that it drops off higher up the range.

I dynoed my 996 TT with same turbos as yours/ ECU flash and a PSI exhaust. I got 439 rwhp on a dyno dynamics, so the range is about right.

FWIW, almost a year later I went back with straight pipes which hurt the low end power a little, and DV's which helpd more than the straight pipes hurt and dynoed 523 rwhp on a dynojet. I think with the PSI exhaust it would have hit 530 rwhp.

I wouldnt worry, you are in the ballpark, but GET SOME DV's. Maybe a drag strip run or two with a baby launch so as not to wheel hop. Your car should trap 122-127 depending on what kind of conditions you have.

Thanks Chevy,

DV's are next, I want something the dealer will not pick up on, Bosch do an uprated one right?

If I trap the figure you are talking about, how many seconds will I run? roughly.

Thanks

I have seen, on the cars readout, .9 bar at about 7000' altitude on my 05
Turbo S with 70mm Speedtech.

I'm not sure what your skill level is, but if you launch well (1.8-2.0 60 foot or better) and hit all your shifts in an expeditious manner (not powershifting), you should run 11.5-11.7. With some practice and good skill you could be hitting 11.3. Drag radials would help too.

Maybe Jimmer can help you out, he seems to be really good at drag racing.

I'm not that good at the drag strip so I cant offer any techniques. But my best time prior to DV's and in a full weight TT weighing almost 3800 lbs with me in it was a 11.71 @ 124 and my best trap was 125 mph. And that was with a 2.0 60'.

A general rule of thumb is that .1 faster in the 60' equals .2-.3 faster at the end. So had I got a 1.8 60' I should have been 11.3-11.4.

Hope that helps.

Good 60 foot will definately help ET but does not really matter to trap speed. Trap speed is important, shows the cars real power.

I am more surprised that they are BOUGHT without knowing what is there.

(of course we are saying the same thing)

Given the potential for some tunes to cause engine destruction- why would you troubleshoot around an unknown DME and build your mods on top of an unknown foundation?
