Update

Went to Progressive. They gave me an estimate for $645. The bumperette is the most expensive part. I'm now going to take it to Westside for the REAL estimate. Stay tuned..

Some people remove their bumperettes. Put a "WTB 996TT bumperettes" ad in the classifieds. You may be able to get a used pair fairly cheap.

BTW, I sincerely hope they find no damage once the bumper is removed. But maybe you'll get lucky and need new intercoolers. Aftermarket will be much cheaper than oem. Good luck!

Progressive, as it Progressive Insurance?

My local BMW, Porsche and Acura dealers will NOT allow you to use one of their loaner cars if you have Progressive- they are THE WORST.

Todd,

The only complaint I heard about Progressive is that when one of their insured holders get into an accident and let them "handle" the accident in terms of finding a shop and getting everything fixed, Progressive will lowball the job and whichever shop agrees to their price will get the job (which is some cheap, hole in the wall shop that does below average work).

You're ok since you are taking the car to where you want it fixed and you have Chris to fight for you in terms of parts and repair.

Edwin
