Got a possible steal on some ps2s front 255/40/18 and 315/30/18 rears. I know the rears will fit but what about the fronts with 15mm spacers.

First check that the RPM is within 3% of front and rear tires. If its okay then, i would say it will be a very tight fit.

I had 255/35/18 that fitted perfectly. The sidwall was smaller so it fitted fine, but your staying with 40 which may cause some rubbing.

the rev are 817 vs 800 which is less than 2% difference. I just wanted to see if it were going to rub where would it rub. The car is not lowered if that makes any diference.

I have a set of 255/35 18s as well. Fits great with either the 8" stock front or 8.5" GT2. Actually is a great setup due to increased width (less understeer). 255/40 18s are to tall and may burn up your viscous coupling.

why would it burn up the viscous coupling if its rev matched to within 2%?
