Would a burn out work on the front tires or not?
I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to get them spinning?
PSM off, and roll through a puddle of water, or start in a small puddle of water.

Try the off-road/4x4 shops. Not uncommon to shave the large tires to get them to balance. Good luck to you

I like your thinking!

What's the best approach for burn-outs? - I've not done them before
(i know - i haven't lived!!)

What revs should I be at for best effect?
And would donuts be better than a straight line burn-out?

Hose down enough road to roll through to get all four wet then punch it with traction control off. If it spins nice in 1st gear, try again starting in second with perhaps more revs and a clutch pop. Make sure you choose a real nice smooth road surface. Oh, make sure you mask off any wheel wells/exposed paint you don't want sandblasted.

So.. If you're MAF is having issues, will you have ABS issues as well? The reason I ask, is because I've been sliding tires at slow speed, and having idle issues.

I've never had the issue you have, but if you need some tires that are descent and $750 shipped for all four, check out Sumitomo's @ Tirerack.com. I'd try ol' Steve-O's advice first
