recordbreaking trap for K16's
My brothers came up to visit and we ran the 2001 K16 w/ giac flash and speedtech exhaust. ECU is 93 octane and used pump gas sunoco 94octane. Car is AWD. Did two runs and the best was 11.8 at 126.3! As far as I know the highest is 126.0 by drivextreme. Slip is attached for verification. The second run was 12.2 at 124.4.

Hey thanks! Yeah, still pales in comparison to your ride! Actually, i ran mine at the lapeer dragway..are you around there?
Also, in regards to Jimmer that is true..however I am strictly talking about the trap speed posted in the 1/4 mile section for k16's....i could be wrong about the "record" but I was excited nevertheless!

Wow! That's an incredible ET and trap for stock K16's. Congrats on a great run.

yeah, markski..your right, im sure the low temps help although it did cause significant wheel spin through 2nd. So car is full weight, nothing removed. Temp was about 42 degrees. Car is running stock 18's. Interesting thing is that this is the second time I have ever gone to the track. First time was last year w/ same car and it ran around 119. Since then, I have changed the exhuast, which made a HUGE difference (had a RUF before), put a 93 tune (prior was 91), changed plugs, coils, mafs, clutch (OEM stock one) and put a K and N filter. It just feels like a totally different car!

looks like you did all the stuff needed... coils, plugs, maf and cluthc... exhaust etc.,...
the temps as well helped.... good stuff...
I couldnt get 126 out of K24s in 90 degree temps in muggy wisconsin let alone on a K16...

Nice run!
Sounds like the Speedtech added some nice power compared to the Ruf. How do you like the sound?
