The Blues will allow more "buzz" into the cabin. So just be aware of that. If you've got a loud exhaust you won't notice it at all. If not, you might notice a little more... The blacks are stiffer than OEM, but not "solids" like the blues...

Stevo pulled the number on the 997TT tranny mount and it appears to be the same numbers as the 996 Tranny mount... Might want to think about the RSR or Cupcar mount to replace the tranny bushings!

Don... they do offer the bolts... I just got some from them

Wevo or Rs for engien mounts, go for wevo if you are a track junki othervice RS i fine

For tranny mount the cup cost rediculus like 1000dollar and its a solid one, best would be something like this

I just looked back through my saved threads to find something posted last year by BigBadBen. I couldn't find it or I would've posted the link. I remember Ben changed to some type of solid mounts for his transaxle and said it vibrated so much, or made so much noise, or something, that he took them off immediately. He may have them for sale.

Mike spoke with Cary in much detail about tranny mount and he mentioned it can be converted to a solid bush no problem but seriously warned me about road transfer noise etc... his exact words were "A LOT of road noise though... SERIOUSLY A LOT!! are you ok with that??"

I expect with the Wevo mounts this will tighten movement on the front mount anyway... might just leave the tranny mount.

I'm starting to wonder how far do we go with these cars... the more rubber you take out the more parts we have to be replace/maintain... I have already gone through 2 sets of 8 Rose Joints on the GMG dog legs, 2 x Joints on the GT3 Rear Toe and replaced 2 rear A Arm bushes, no compliance there and just excellerates wear and tear... I also need regular trips to the dentist as my fillings are falling out.

So true

The more solid evrything gets the more race car it gets, i have cup shifter and cup wires also, with solid gearbox mount and wevo engien mounts, also LWFW it feels that i have the gearbox and engien in the car buts its okey for me.

I was warned off the motor mounts when I did my tranny by DAS. I use the car as a DD and as such, he (Mr. Dougherty, the D) felt I'd be making a huge error. He had at least 7 cup cars in his shop at the time, some were 997's and a host of other stuff....hard core cars....most not DOT legal. I have a LWFW and switzer exhaust and like those noises. He let me sit in a turbo with the mounts... it was much louder to me.

So, I would use caution.

I am staying stock this year and probably next...pending my needs. I suspect I am the slowest one posting in this thread by a lot.

My aluminum spacers on my dogbones were shot after just 6 trackdays... Amazing. This is exactly why I've taken my 996TT off the track and am finishing up my Datsun V8Zcar for the track...

It all boils down to what you want to do. Now we all know WHY there is such a lucrative market for maintaining Cup cars for clients!

Thnaks Mike, I think I am going to try out the Wevo blues, hopefully not too harsh for street. As far as the tranny mount, I think I will go with a new OEM mount and fill it with Window-weld.
