1987 IROC-Z with a 5.7 tuned port injection given to me by my brother when I turned 16. Heavily modded, flawless, and best sounding ride Ive owned. A very special car.

my first car...a 65 mustang. My uncle gave it to me when I was 13 because his sons hit a tree when the brakes went out. My Dad and I repaired it, using all new original parts. When I was 15, I hit our house in the same place it had been damaged before, the brakes went out! So we repaired it again, using some replacement body parts this time, and it was prepped for new paint (bumpers removed) just as I turned 16. It's maiden voyage was to school.....on the way home, the hood flew up blinding me and bending the hood. I gently eased off the road and slowed down. It would have been fine, but about 15 feet before stopping there was a sign post which I couldn't see due to the hood on the windshield. It hit in the same place as the previous excursions. We gave up, we traded it pretty quickly after that.

Haha, thats a great story - You gave it every fighting chance but it sounds like it just wasn't meant to be!

My first car was a 1974 442 Olds cutlass c/wthe 350 Rocket engine and those gold valve covers. It was a lot of car for a 16 year kid with no fear (no brains).

I bought it 4 months short of my 16 birthday and started drivng it when my folks weren't home, like I said no brains.

Since my 16 b-day in 1977 I have owned about 26 different cars/trucks/SUV and see no slowing down any time soon. My wife says I need some professional help, I just like cars and don't see any problems with being a pertrolhead.

P-Cars
2004 996 GT3
2007 Boxster S
2005 Boxster (sold)
