Cool... looks like you have been busy at work over there at Meridian.

I wonder how fast your car is compared to mine... I'm only running 1.2 bar.

I am sworn to secrecy on the actual numbers put the fuel pump can handle a bunch of horsepower. In the Stage 5 upgrade the injectors are replaced with higher flowing ones, instead of trying to add an injector. (not a real good idea)

Luting, cruise by anytime.
Ruiner, all of the fuel questions would be for Todd, I know he knows all of the specs on the 996 TT fuel system.

hmmm... Ruiner you bring up an excellent point.

In my car, I am running twin fuel pumps, one from a GT2 and the other one is a racing one from Porsche motorsports.

buddy,

Where do you get your back up that running an additional injector(s) on a 996tt is not a good idea?

I know people have their opinions based on older Porsche motors, however I have personally never seen a failure on the 996tt motor using the added injector. It is my opinion on a recreational 996tt motor the added injector is better as it doesn't have to be accuated until around 6000 rpm's. Once you get to around 560 rwhp the Porsche ECU (OBD II) is not really the best system. It starts to become a compromise. It is my opinion, the Motec M800 along with the proper accessories makes all the Porsche modified chips on the market look like childs play when used on motors producing over 560 rwhp.

Alex,

I believe you will find the weight added by the H2O system versus the actual power gains will change your mind.

Chad,

Consider that when Porsche builds a car they don't add an "extra" injector. They determine what flow the injector needs to have and then they use the right size injector for each cylinder. The added injector in your case solves a problem in getting more fuel to the system but it is not the idea solution. Just my opinion of course.

buddy,

People deride the added injector because of the way the fuel was distributed in the older motors in addition to the ECU control on the same motors. It lead to lean cylinders. I have not seen any proof of this with the 996tt engine to date.

In addition, with the exception of the EVO Stage V, with no customer experience that I know of as of yet and my experimenting now the larger injectors, no one has any experience with them that I am aware of with the 996tt motor. Generally, (and I underline gernerally) you start to add very much larger injectors and your idle will suffer. I know ECU mods can help address this but modifying the stock ecu is nothing quality wise compared to using the Motec M800. They are just not in the same league. I would also agree for race the larger injectors are better, for the street, I do not agree. My defination of a race motor is one producing 200 to 250 hp per liter. Using that criteria, I would define a race motor as one producing 720 to 900 hp. If you are going to add the larger injectors you might as well do the whole job right and go with the Motec M 800. Otherwise, no real need for the larger injectors.

Again, just my opinion.
