New owner here....2003 Ruf 550

Hey guys....

Long time lurker, thought I'd say hello now that I'm picking up my first Porsche today. Some of you guys may have seen it on ebay....though it wasn't on there for more than a few hours....it's an '03 Ruf 550 with Ruf coilovers/wheels/cage/steering wheel, Slate grey with black full leather and Nav. Plus it has a brand new GT2 bumper and intercoolers.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___2003-Porsche-911-Turbo-TRUE-RUF-w-GT2-Front-End_W0QQitemZ370129845443QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20Trucks QQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=i tem370129845443&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65 %3A3|39%3A1|240%3A1318

The price was right, and I can't wait to finally have a fast car that has TRACTION!

BTW...if anyone is interested in the leather wrapped Ruf minicage....PM me....it's coming out so i can move the seat back a bit....

Regards,

Sanjay

Thanks guys....looking forward to hanging out here, and with the Houston crew. My garage holds 6, at least until I get the lifts put in, and I have some storage space I've used in the past

I know other marques backwards and forwards, but I have a lot of learning to do about Porsches, esp the finer points of the 996.

I've never seen a Slate Grey car...only Seal Grey. Was this a rare color?

Anyone have a guess at what the leather wrapped Ruf cage might be worth?

Thanks! The car was actually at my buddy's shop for quite some time getting the GT2 bumper installed, so I've been considering it long before it was officially put on the market. It was on ebay for maybe 8 hours before I struck the deal. Got a great price, and can't wait to pick it up! Clear bra is going on now, and the cage is coming out. You can't have over a 32" inseam and be comfortable with that thing in there....

I don't know. Like 50 bucks. I'll come pick it up tonight. Can't wait to see your car.

Haha... $50, I was thinking $55

Very nice car! Honestly, a used Tequipment bar goes for about $700 so I'd estimate yours at $900+?

Nice first P-car. I would agree with taking out the bar. You will pick up space & helps with the old inseam.....Enjoy.
