Lets see your aftermarket seats....

I am very much enjoying the 6tt but the stock seats leave a lot to be desired. I much prefer a more aggressive bolstering. I had GT3 seats before and while they did an impressive job out on the road or track, they were sometimes difficult in the real world.

I would enjoy seeing some pics of aftermarket seats in the car and hear about how you comments, pro and con.
thanks

Subscribed.

1st mod of the new year for me will be some recliner racing seats, probably the Recaro Speeds, then switch in/out harness bar and harnesses.

I'd like to see results of those that have done the same...

would be better if we knew your needs. ie access to back seat? go for recaro pole position. ridgid back cant beat the GT3 seats. track driving? long trips. many factors need to be considered. you ablity to "tolerate" one situation for another.

my car is a full track weapon but still can drive it to the track. I will tolerate anything for any length of time if it makes me faster but went with the GT3 seats as are comfortable on long trips as well.

also height and weight factor in for slots for harnesses and fitment.

I kept my stock belt for the street also which is a good idea.

Tom - if you don't mind me asking a personal question, what is your weight and height?

Curious about your fitment in the seats with helmet and clearances...

Thanks,
Rich

I have GT3 seats in my 996TT and don't mind them at all for long trips (I'm 6' 155lbs). I just bought a set of Recaros for my DD and will post pics when I get the car back.

Anyone using a rigid back seat other than the GT3?

Which Recaros are you opting for? I am still deciding between the Speed's and Sports.

I switched to the GT3 a while back for more support but found them to be a pita to get in and out since my car is a DD. I found the Recarro Sportster seats to be the best choice. I wanted a seat that has good support, lighweight, and most importantly reclinable. It was a bit of work to get them installed but I LOVE these seats!

^^Really liking those seats...you did well!! How much of a PITA was it to install them? Did you have to fabricate brackets/sliders, etc?
