Well my Chipped GT2 that runs 10's in the 1/4 at about 130mph and makes about the same hp 525 rwhp as yours, can't walk my bone stock Z06 and its 3 or 4 hundred pounds lighter than a TT. The Z06 is an animal and with a good driver can trap 128 to 130 mph in the 1/4 mile bone stock. I have run many chipped and tuned TT at the track and to be competitive with a Z06 they need more than that! Here are some timeslips from about a month ago in my Z06 on an ice cold track with no traction, car is bonestock with the factory runflats.

Do you plan on any mods for the z06? That would be a street rocket.

That's super strong for a stock car. So a Z06 with a tune and intake might run faster ? More like 135 trap?? That would be crazy!

I agree about stock Z06. But a tuned Z06 will be a true challenge.

18g cars are making around 500-550 whp correct? a tuned zo6 with intake is making 480- 500whp. Its also 400 lbs lighter...how can a k24 tt still pull on a tuned Z06?

Yeah i seen that vid before..the results are as i expected. I will know the results of my runs with a tuned z06 when the weather gets better here in Chicago. I plan on getting a k24/18g kit within the next couple of months ...and will see how my friends tuned z06 performs.

Absolutely. I beat Z06 all the time even with my K24's, on the track as well as highway pulls (with street tires). I have a recent video from drag strip, enjoy the video.

I had a C6 Corvette and almost bought a ZO6. The guys with a tune and a cold air intake are making 485- 500rwhp in their C6 ZO6s. I've driven several ZO6s and they're very fast and a lot of fun. I do believe that my Proto K24/18g will walk a tuned ZO6. According to Todd I'm making around 550 hp at the tires with my setup on pump gas. I wouldn't underestimate a well driven, tuned C6 ZO6, they're monsters.

No it's not, you can count on one hand the number of bone stock Z's that have trapped even 128. There my be a couple more on DR's that can trap 129-130 but you wont find one anywhere other than up there where everything goes faster, your car is the fastest by a good margin, in ET and trap speed, than any others we've seen.

Most Z's trap 122-125 which is right where a TT with K24's and an exhaust will trap. I've run even on a straight with a tuned Z06 (dont know other mods), pulled a little in third, lost a little in 4th. That was prior to DV's. I've also run several runs at the strip with a Z06 that was making ~500 whp and other than both of us sucking at launching, there was no pull in either direction. I think at the end of the night he may have gotten a little over 1 mph higher trap than me.

In theory a 18g TT at 1.3 bar should out-run an intake tune Z06.
