Evolution of my 996 Turbo

Maybe you could mount one of those smoke canisters, the skydivers wear, on the back of your car too. I mean, you are pretty much running afterburners anyway. A little smoke trail so we mere mortals can find your car would make it easier for us.

Joe, good to hear you have everything going good on the car, can't wait to hear what goes down at the mile!
I thought you had a Simpson chute in the picture?
Have you called them or IMPACT! ? They are both big names in NHRA drag racing, along with Stroud.

I have a Simpson crossform for the car but I also purchased a Stroud even after he treated me like a peon and which is what I think I will use and keep the Simpson as a spare.Because they use a different design they tend to hit softer(because the slack in the lines gets taken up before the canopy opens)and drag low to the ground not upsetting the rear of the car by pulling up on it.I was advised by someone with a 200 mph stock chassis car to run this chute.I am still gonna take it easy and incrementally increase speed to see how it hits tho.

Not much has changed on Joes car since the last Mile Just some better turbos, new intake manifold, our new coil packs, our new lightweight billet pulley upgrade, different spark plugs, retuned software calibration, our new billet shock body coil over suspension system, and some upgraded safety gear. Still looks like a stock 996TT from the outside - Except for the parachute and the Fikse FM10 wheels

Almost ready for the dyno tomorrow. Joe was finishing the data logging computer installation and mounting the parachute release lever Dont worry Jagg, your headers and turbos are already being fabricated More on that will be posted in your thread in the morning with pictures and specs.

Your telling me . After your cars turn on the dyno, we have John's GT2 from Denver that needs to have the Tilton carbon clutch installed, new headers fabricated, the GT35/82's installed and the car tuned / prepared. His car is getting setup just like yours with a few minor differences. After that, we will begin the work on the 997TT. As of right now, it is not looking good for the EVOMS 997 but our car always gets the last minute treatment. We will see if we can pull a rabbit out of our a$$ and get it started and completed in less than 5 days.
