I have a manual TT 996 with K24 turbos,fabsspeed muffler and sport cat, ECU mapped.
Is it right that a triptonic 997 stock turbo beat me if i have 996 TT with all that on.In 1' and 2' i was ahead but at the end of 3' he catched me,when i changed to 4' he started pulling apart.
Is it rigth o i did not drive it ok.??????

You should have continued to pull away. If you were a bad driver its unlikely you would have been ahead at the first. I would double check to make sure the 997TT is stock. Then I would look for boost leaks or bad DVs ect...

 

Hi m bailey,I am sure it is stock,this friend just bougth the car a week ago.It is brand new.In 3',when he put him self side by side, i did not was alert enough because i changed gear too late.It was passed the red line,maybe that did it and we have to slow down because of traffic.He slowed down first.
The guy did not want to race back,he just left.

 

it sounded like driver error...you shoulda had him by at least a car...

The ECU flash is MUNCHEN TUNNING.de,from germany.They send it to a guy in Guatemala that has the hardwere ti install it.Bars running 0.9 ussually,sometimes 1.0 and very,very often 1.1.

thats bad i had a run with a friend 997tt and 997 GT2 from a roll well lets say ast the end it was me and the GT2 he was a ahead of me by around 2-3 cars and for the 997tt he was behind me for around 10 cars and falling behind both of our turbos were tip ... ;D

how much power are you making? You may be close or marginally better than the stock 997tt (480), at that point it's all driver. Sounds like you had him until 3rd gear then something happened.

 

I have never have dinoed my car.There is only one dino in the country for 4 wheel drive but do not trust it much.It is like you say TT,something happened,i did not changed gear at the rigth moment...i did it too late and thats when the 997 left me.
I must be more sharp when street racing my car.

 

I have a feeling its not a good program and or you may have boost leaks... DVs failing, exhaust leak, etcs... it could be anything...
pressure test the car from the turbos....
I woudl be skeptical when a company in Germany sends the ecu to Guatemala to install it and back to you... something doesnt add up....
