clunk when I give gas. engine mount?

I have this good clunk that happens when I accelerate with decent pedal.
Even shifting into 2nd sometimes.
Mechanic said its not the rear engine mounts..
what else could it be? is there a mount on the front by tranny? if so how do I find part. I looked high and low.
I don't like driving to hard with this problem feels bad....

Thanks
Ryan

Here are some pics of the tranny mount, although it will have a black rubber not a white delrin bushing. These pics should help you identify the part.

I had a clunking / excess driveline play that we decided to chase a while back. It turned out to be 70% worn rear CV joints, 15% torn rubber trans mounts and 15% torn rubber drive shaft coupler (to the front). We replaced these items individually and with each repair the car became tighter until at the end, it was like new and the clunking / excess play was gone.

Do you know where I can get a part number on that? I forgot to mention I have a TIP. How many hours to change the tranny mount?

I had it done with a clutch install.

At 65,000 miles, I'll bet your CV joints have play, it's a very inexpensive repair and more likely your problem - even if your tech feels they are fine (as mine did) - I just insisted we change them and the improvement was dramatic.

I had this exact issue with my old C2 (that was a tip). It was a tranny mount.
